New page

Some work has been done on capacity analaysis of ad-hoc wireless packet networks. For example Kumar's equation stating that Capacity is in the oprder of W/(n*sqrt(log(n)) where W = bandwidth and n = number of nodes. Their is also tha famous magic number 6 proposed by Leonard Kleinrock who said that the optimum number of connected nodes in an wireless packet network is 6. There is a lot more analaysis that is needed to mathematically model the effects of multiple radios, clustering, traffic patterns etc. on capacity.
