J2ME

Applications were developed to demonstrate some of the copabilities of a J2ME 1.1 compliant, Series 40 Nokia mobile. Of particular interest was the capability of accesing web-services from a J2ME applciation.

Symbian OS

The capabilities of the OS were investigated, with particular regard to Audio and Bluetooth programmability feautures. It was found that it is possible to stream Audio recorded from a Nokia Series 60, Symbian OS 1.2 mobile phone, over a Bluetooth RFCOMM link to a PC.
