One of the interesting aspects of building wireless mesh networks in communities is the social networking that results. This can range from blogosphere's to peer-to-peer file sharing to online gaming. Other than these applications there is another interesting aspect around allowing other users to route traffic through your node. Other traffic being routed through your node will usually degrade your link, unless the node itself offers a new better conenction to a node that you wanted to reach. Some incitement mechanisms are needed to reward people for sharing their bandwidth and to prevent greedy beahviour within the wireless mesh network.
