Abstract Description of research theme

One of the largest arguments against mesh networking is the lack of suitability to VoIP due to large latencies when connecting thought a large number of hops. Their are mechanisms to improve some of these latency issues such as modifications to the MAC layer/ using multiple radios or QoS sensitive mesh routing protocols. VoIP will be tested extensively in the 49 node testbed.
