Organisation: Generation 7 Foundation

The Generation 7 Foundation exists in order to support research into long term solutions for the structural problems facing our society.

Our immediate focus is on the potential for ICT technologies to facilitate sustainable access to the benefits of civilisation for all members of our society, including: 

 * Water and plumbing
 * Reliable food supply
 * Electricity
 * Resource pooling
 * Comfortable homes
 * Co-operative communities
 * Medical care
 * Knowledge and education
 * Conflict resolution and mediation
 * A rich cultural life

Our skillset and approach is multi-disciplinary and encompasses subjects as diverse as whole systems analysis, conflict resolution, software development, transition assistance, hardware development, digital media production, art and network administration.

Our staff consists of three fulltime facilitators and a loose network of part time collaborators.

We are based in the tiny village of Scarborough at the tip of the Cape Peninsula.
